We the members of the Teen Advisory Council
feel the need to tell everyone a little something 
about TAC and some of the immediate benefits 
of joining:

“Trevor feeds you free food. You don’t have to 
be quiet in the library. It’s an opportunity to have
fun and hang out. It’s not all work. Trevor 
doesn’t yell at us. It’s a chance to be out of the 
house and away from your parents!  You can 
earn community service credits. Bands like Good
Charlotte and Evanescence rock and the library
has these CDs. We have an official drink: Swamp
Water! It’s a combination of equal parts Pepsi 
and 7 Up Upside Down. It’s really good, but it 
looks like swamp water.”
So keep looking for our reports and marvel in our
accomplishments!

What is TAC?  
TAC is the Teen Advisory Committee. When you join, your voice will have an active role in the direction of teen services at the Guilderland Public Library. You will take part in programming (that's right --choosing events you would like to have happen here, like bands, performers, fairs, etc.  Just let your mind go!) 

You will also have input in how you want the Teen Lounge to be set up, suggest what it needs, stuff like that. Also, are there things we don't have in the collection that you want?  This is the place to let us know!

Meetings take place once a month for about one hour.   If the group start feeling like we can't do everything we want to do in that amount of time, we could have extra meetings! It's totally flexible.

So, you want movies, clubs, bands, events, and more at your library? Join TAC and help make it happen!
