|
.Emilio
Santini was born in Murano, Italy into a noble family with a 600-year
glassblowing tradition. His father, a glass-blower and self-taught
lampworker, was his first teacher.
At age 11, he began working at a glass factory. At 17, his father
started teaching him lampworking.
Now a resident of Williamsburg, VA, he has resumed blowing glass at the
furnace and is completing his new studio, which will include facilities
for glassblowing, casing and lampworking. His work is featured in
numerous private and museum collections around the world.
He will also welcome students at all levels of experience and we can
