Kafka's gravestone

I have a habit, a hobby, of making parchment & charcoal rubbings of gravestones, etc., during my travels. I made an impression of Kafka's headstone in Prague. The name has an offset "k" before the name (kAFKA). I am sure that this is a reference to his "K", but perhaps there is an interesting story behind the choice. If anyone knows the anecdote or has any ideas how this came about, please inform me. Thanking you in advance, Wayne R. roltex@earthlink.net
