In response to the question about any good avenues. I've got a great one. Get a job in government. Then you won't even have to read Kafka. This reminds me of a story. I had taken a literature course in college which included readings by guess who. Well we read this one story (I think it may have been called "the Country Doctor" but I'm not for sure. The prof begins the lecture by asking if anyone understood the story. Silence. He then continued, "neither did I." With that he went on to the next lesson. Inspiring, isn't it?

Have you read "Before the Law" from "A Country Doctor?" This is a very very short story with the same theme. The preventive beurocracy is a construct-- its only purpose turns out to be confounding petitioners.

Hey bud. I can tell you about Kafka's letter to his father. This is what I wrote in my evening report for my literature class in San Fransisco. Kafka is critical of his father. He is judgemental. His words are arrogant, and he expresses himself through intellect, rather than through gestation. I know that the father never read this letter, but its mere existance may have added to Kafka's father's death. Kafka is egotistical and superior in tone; however, his words are a fine overlay of sarcastic sympathy: He is, one might say, trying to boost himself in the public's eye, by playing on his own benevolance. Feel free to quote me, but it may be a fallacious appeal to authority, as I am just a student.
