1912 was a very eventful year for Kafka. In addition to meeting his fiancee-to-be Felice Bauer, Kafka wrote "The Stoker", his breakthrough story "The Judgment" -- and, at intervals between November 17 and December 7, his masterpiece "The Metamorphosis". Yay!

100 words for kafka.

Loving animals like Nietzsche because they are without language -in the Cartesian sense- and therefore 'pure'. Fearing animals for the same reasons. Fearing music because it opens up the instincts and instinct are animal, vegetable, and mineral. Fearing sex for the same reasons. Hiding in language and simultaneously hiding the body. Looking out for WASHER WOMAN NEAR WINDOWS WHEN WALKING THE CITIES STREETS. Eating nuts and figs and dried fruit. Loving always from a distance. Not foreseeing post modernity but anticipating the event. So in love with all that is 'out there' one cannot survive it.
